It's not everyday you get asked to design and develop a website plus a brand new brand identity for a celebrity. Tim Stockdale first represented Great Britain in 1988. He's now represented his country no less than 47 times in Nations' Cup teams including, the 2002 World Equestrian Games, 2008 Olympic Games in China and the 2009 European Championships. Early in 2010, he served as Chef d'Equipe for the victorious Great Britain team in Nations' Cup contest in Abu Dhabi. Brave Creative are proud to have been asked to work with Tim and help develop his brand.
Designed as a source of information for followers of Tim Stockdale providing information on Tim, Tim's Blog Show Jumping News, Video footage, Diary Event Dates, Show Jumping Training Services offered and an eCommerce section selling books, DVD, clothes and accessories.
The entire site is developed on the wordpress platform, lots of bespoke code and fully customised down to the enth detail. Even the online shop runs off a Wordpress eCommerce module "shop" system that adds feature-rich functionality.
From a design point of view, the website keeps to the brand ethos oozing a British theme throughout whilst ensuring all in the information and communication is clean and simple for users to read. The layout is regimented, however it had some nice subtle touches utilising illustration, website graphics and photography.
Having built the site designed in and developed in Wordpress presented challenges in terms of functioanlity, however the site benefits such as:
- Search Engine Friendly structure
- Jquery SEO sitemap
- Bespoke integrated Blog
- Events Diary Page
- eCommerce Shop
- Sponsors Carousel
- Display Online Advertising Integration
