Brave Creative we're brought in initially to develop the brand identity (as mentioned below) which once designed, set the tone and standard for everything else that followed. What followed was a series of marketing tools which went on to assist to develop a brand which holds its own in a very competitive marketplace.
Business cards, letterheads brochures, folders and stationary design was handled by Brave Creative once the brand logo design was completed. Lets talk a little bit about the logo.
We initially presented various logos which mostly contained icons as we felt in this industry, something clear, concise and strong goes a long way. It was important to depict some form of icon which showed a window pane and/or the form of a house. With this in mind, we concluded on a design which clearly represents both aspects with the house form following the shape of the house and running underneath the company name and above the strap line.
Why we used blue in the logo?
The colour blue invokes calmness in people. It's similar to looking at the sky on a lovely summer's day, or swimming in the sea perhaps. On a usability point of view, blue is much less straining on the eyes than many of the other primary colours (Yellow and Red). Blue is also a cold colour, on the opposite side of the spectrum from the colour red. This means it's a common connotation for things like winter and now.
We chose it as generally people think of windows, doors and conservatories as a way to keep the cold elements out. There, now you know what's behind the colour.
