Web Construction Standards (W3C)
We strive (depending on brief and budget) to develop all our websites to the following standards for web construction, all future proof and flexible:
W3C Web standards (World Wide Web Consortium)
A legal requirement of the DDA (Disability Discrimination Act), All sites must be accessible to disabled persons. By using CSS and valid XHTML you are removing the design information from the content, leaving the content to be structured and accessible to a disabled user. If a disabled person comes across a site they cannot access they have a right to sue that company as part of the DDA.
Whenever we're designing websites, one of our primary goals, besides communicating the mission of the organisation for whom the website is being made, should be to make the website accessible to all visitors, no matter what kind of computer or browser they have, and no matter what kind of disabilities they have (whether it be blindness, deafness, or other problems). Luckily for you, Brave Creative work to W3C standards.
General Info
Building the sites in CSS and valid XHTML ensures quick loading of pages by separating content from design.
Cross Browser Compatibility
For now and future incarnation of browsers (this can be currently noted by how IE7 has vastly improved its compatibility with CSS over IE6).
Search Engines
By separating the content from the design this helps swift indexing by search engines that encourages higher search engine ranking.
